New Delhi, Mar 9: BJP activists will organize marathons, hold street plays, marches and signature campaigns and reach out to people through SMSes during the party's nationwide campaign against corruption, price rise and black money between April 6 and June 15.

"On April 6, the anniversary of BJP's formation, we will start the nationwide campaign against corruption in UPA government, price rise and now the new issue of Indian black money stashed abroad," BJP President Nitin Gadkari said at a press conference here today.

The party top brass held a meeting with its state presidents and state general secretaries here to chalk out the programme and strategy for the agitation which will be spread over 600 districts.

"Marathons will be organised in every district. We will also reach out to the people through plays, songs, padyatras (marches), SMSes, and signature campaigns," Gadkari said.

The BJP chief maintained that the party had done well in cornering the government on the three important issues during the on-going budget session of Parliament. Once the session ends, the party would take to the streets.Gadkari appealed to the people to join BJP in this campaign and insisted that scams in states where Congress and the UPA are in power should also be exposed.

"BJP had exposed the Rs 700 crore scam in the North-East states recently," he claimed."The (UPA) government has been drawing flak from the Supreme Court on the appointment of CVC and for not taking action against Hasan Ali for keeping black money abroad,"Gadkari said. The party has not given up other corruption issues like anomalies in Commonwealth Games projects and 2G spectrum allocation, he added.
