Nagpur: As election draws closer, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure its victory in the upcoming assembly election in Maharashtra where the party is out of power for last 15 years.
The BJP has now set up an ‘IT War Room' in Nagpur to fortify its campaign strategy in the state.
According to party, messages would be sent to public via Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and SMS appealing them to exercise their voting franchise in favour the BJP.
The party said that the ‘IT War Room' would enable it to tell voters about its ‘people-friendly' policies very easily and appeal them to come out in record high numbers to vote.
BJP leader Sandeep Joshi said that this drive will not only urge youngsters to vote but also come out to campaign for a strong government.
The ‘IT War Room' will function round the clock, he said.
Polling is Maharashtra is slated for October 15 while counting will take place on October 19.
In the Lok Sabha polls, a team of 40 people, mostly techies, had put their efforts for the BJP's campaign to reach people through social media across the country.
