New Delhi: BJP today took a jibe at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement that UPA-III is not impossible and said it was comparable to a medical bulletin where the doctor says the patient is critical but under control and thus there is hope.
“Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement is like a medical bulletin where the doctor says the patient is critical but is under control, thus giving hope. UPA is also critical, but there is hope...only hope. Manmohan Singh's statement should be viewed in that context only,” BJP Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said.
Hussain also scoffed at Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan's remarks that Congress is in a position to consider forming a government at the Centre with the help of Third Front.
“It is trying to fight Narendra Modi with the help of a straw,” he said.
Hussain said Congress has already accepted that there is no possibility of UPA and they have thus accepted defeat and the Prime Minister cannot openly say UPA is going to be out of power.
“It is clear now that Congress is not coming to power. People of the country have made it clear that BJP-led NDA is coming to power,” he said.
