New Delhi: A number of BJP leaders, including Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Home Minister Rajnath Singh, today attended a lunch hosted by party leader Shahnawaz Hussain to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
Other Union Ministers like M Venkaiah Naidu and Prakash Javadekar were also there among the large number of people who greeted Hussain on Eid.
Party's key ally in Bihar and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, along with his son Chirag, was also there and shared the greetings.
Not many Congress leaders were, however, seen at the lunch except former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor who also greeted Hussain and spent some time there.
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was seen attending Hussain's Iftar parties in the past, was also not present today.
This is the first party thrown by a Muslim BJP leader this time as he did not throw an Iftar party this time around.
President Pranab Mukherjee and Congress President Sonia Gandhi hosted Iftar parties last week.
