New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi will today address two election rallies in Bihar.
As per the schedule, Sonia will address the first rally at Kahalgaon near Bhagalpur. Polling here will be done in the first phase on October 12.
She will then fly to Birgunj near Gaya where polling will be held in the second phase on October 16.
Congress sources said that both RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are likely to share the dais with Sonia. This will also be Sonia's first visit to the state after Swabhiman Rally in Patna on August 30.

Bihar will elect a new 243-seat assembly in the staggered polls that begin on 12 October and end on 5 November. The counting of votes will be held on 8 November.
The 'grand alliance' comprising Congress, RJD and JD(U) is facing a tough challenge from the BJP which is contesting he polls in alliance with Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP, Upendar Kushwaha's RLSP and and former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM.
