“It is a matter of great sorrow that Modi has not kept the issue of women security in the 10-point agenda of his government. The Prime Minister in whose name this slogan was given is not seen taking responsibility,” she said, alleging that BJP-ruled states Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have recorded 1170 and 924 rape cases in the past three months.
Oza, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was particularly critical of Gaur.
“Gaur says that rapes cannot be checked as the rapists do not come after informing. He also says that women should be taught judo karate to defend themselves from such incidents.
Who will give judo karate training to a three-year-old kid or an 80-year-old woman,” she asked.
“If the state Home Minister is feeling helpless in providing security to women, he should relinquish his post.
Such irresponsible statements be it by Gaur, Akhilesh Yadav or SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav only encourage people, who commit such crimes,” she said.
