Year 2013 has been a very eventful year for Narendra Modi. In this year, he was first appointed as the chairman of BJP's central election management committee and after some time he was declared the prime ministerial candidate of the party for 2014 elections.
These two announcements became more significant in view of the fact that the section led by BJP patriarch L K Advani tried its best to stall the ascendance of Modi but could not succed.
In the same year, Modi faced snooping charges against a woman. The Gujarat government has formed a commission to look into these charges and the last word is yet to be heard in this matter.
