New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to score a hattrick in the politically crucial state of Madhya Pradesh, and is surging ahead to return to power in Rajasthan.
But in Chhattisgarh, the BJP is locked in a neck-and-neck contest with Congress, with both leading in 34 seats each, and others in 4 seats as of 9:22 am.
In Delhi, the BJP which was trying to return to power this time has been effectively checkmated by Aam Aadmi Party. At 9:22 am, BJP is leading in 21, AAP in 18, Congress in 8, and Bahujan Samaj Party in 3 constituencies.
Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit may have to put in her papers, as it is almost clear now that the Congress will not be getting a fourth consecutive term. Dikshit is however leading in her New Delhi constituency, over AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
