New Delhi: Delhi's Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal today discussed about full statehood to capital with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at latter's official residence, 7 RCR.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Manish Sisodia, who was also present in the meeting, said that Modi took the issue very positively.
"Arvind talked about full statehood to Delhi with the Prime Minister to which he assured that he will look into the issue," Sisodia told reporters after 15-minute long meeting.
Full statehood for Delhi and passage of the Janlokpal and Swaraj bills are the first three points of the 70-point AAP manifesto.
Kejriwal and Sisodia arrived at Modi's residence in an Innova car at around 10:30 am. They also invited the Prime Minister for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan slated for February 14.

Sisodia said that the Prime Minister has prior engagements on February 14 and hence, he will not be attending and the event.
"Unfortunately Prime Minister Modi will not be able to attend Arvindji's oath taking ceremony,” the AAP leader said.
Modi will be in Baramati on February 14 where he will be inaugurating a scientific research centre.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal had met Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu. The leader had sought cooperation from the Centre in sorting out several issues including full statehood for Delhi.
Meanwhile, close aide of Anna Hazare, Dadda Awari, said that the social-activist will not attend the swearing-in ceremony of his former protégé despite Delhi's chief minister-elect personally extending an invitation to him.
Kejriwal's AAP decimated the BJP and the Congress by recorded a landslide victory, securing 67 of the 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. The BJP managed to bag only 3 seats.
