New Delhi: In a stinging attack on Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal, BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi today called his influence “highly toxic” and described him as a “negative” person.

Bedi, who as part of Team Anna worked with Kejriwal before they parted ways around two years ago, said she had differences of opinion with him even during the anti-graft movement but did not snap her association considering the common goal of having a Lokpal.

“His company is toxic. I felt it to an extent even when I was with him, but we had a common goal that the country must rid itself of scams and corruption. Whoever you may be, we had one goal.

“I used to have an argument with him, why are you calling press conferences, it's not needed. Why are you calling for this dharna, it is not needed,” Bedi told NDTV, breaking away from her earlier comments that she will not make any personal attacks in the run-up to the elections.

The former cop said that even during the Anna movement, she could feel his negativity.

“I think he is highly negative. I noticed that even during the Anna movement,” she said when asked to describe Kejriwal.  Bedi said that it was not in her nature to indulge in such negativity, which is why she had refrained from commenting on statements of Kejriwal.
