RS: You are the only person who is losing by becoming a politician.
AJ: Then Let people vote me for that.
RS: I came to know that the campaign of Narendra Modi –Abki Baar Modi Sarkaar- was prepared under your guidance. Is the entire campaign being run for one person?
AJ: See, When you plan political campaigns, you aim to get maximum votes. I have been part of party's campaign for last 20-25 years. We deliberated upon many slogans and selected the one that was more acceptable from political point of view. When it was going to be a Modi led BJP campaign then it was better to make the two synonymous. When it becomes catchy then obviously it helps. The reason is that whatever polls we conducted, we found Modi's stature looking taller in each of them. And it's natural that we want to extract maximum benefit from that.
RS: Rahul Gandhi has been raising it in his election speeches. He says that elections are being held not for India but one person only. And that this party has got just one person.
AJ: It's not like that. We feel proud in projecting that one person. There was a time when Congress used to project Nehru, India and Rajiv. Today they think they don't have any such personality with them, they are not doing that.
