New Delhi: Congress leader Mani Shanker Aiyar today raised the heckles of BJP, when, while addressing the AICC meet here, he said, Narendra Modi can never become the prime minister of India in the 21st century.
"He can very well sell tea at AICC meetings", he added, for good measure.
Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley was quick to respond.
Jaitley said, "the strength of Indian democracy will be proved when a tea seller defeats a dynastic representative in the 2014 elections."
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said, Congress leaders appear to be desperate and frustrated as they fear defeat is looming in front of them.
