Mumbai, Sep 23: Gandhian Anna Hazare's long-time trusted personal secretary Suresh Pathare has announced that he was disassociating himself from the anti-corruption activist because of "personal reasons".
Pathare tweeted on Saturday night to say that he had resigned because of some personal reasons. I cannot work with Anna any more. I have decided this because of some personal work, he added.
Suresh Pathare, a resident of Anna's Ralegan Siddhi village, has been Anna's shadow for the last several years.
Anna's former estranged blogger and journalist Raju Parulekar however believes otherwise.
Parulekar says, Pathare has not resigned because of personal reasons. On the contrary, Anna himself has asked Pathare to stay away from him, said Parulekar.
Parulekar alleged that there had been charges of corruption and irregularities against Pathare for the last several years. After disassociating himself from Arvind Kejriwal, Anna did not want to keep Pathare with him in his renewed struggle against corruption, says the former blogger.
