New Delhi, Jan 16: The controversial MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi is believed to have completely refused to cooperate with Andhra Pradesh Police and an unhappy and frustrated Police has allowed the court to send him back to judicial custody today, one day before the completion of his five-day police custody.
According to a senior police official, Owaisi did not cooperate during interrogation and it has been conveyed to the court. The police simply recorded his statement and sent him back to judicial custody.
It should be recalled that Akbaruddin Owaisi was arrested on charges of sedition and making hate speeches on Jan 8.
According to reliable sources, Owaisi told his interrogators that the voice recorded in CDs was not his and that it was doctored to tarnish his image.
