Jammu: AAP allegations that the BJP is trying to topple the Delhi government do not augur well for a party that aspires to form the next government at the centre, union Minister Farooq Abdullah said Tuesday.
"Allegations by Arvind Kejriwal that the BJP is trying to topple the AAP government in Delhi do not augur well for a party that thinks it would form the next government at the centre," Abdullah, the minister for new and renewable energy, told reporters on the sidelines of a function to felicitate the J&K Ranji team here.
Answering a question about the possibility of a Third Front against the UPA and NDA during the Lok Sabha elections, Abdullah said: "This is always spoken about when the elections approach in the country."
"The possibility of a Third Front actually depends upon the results of the Lok Sabha elections when it would be known which party gets how many seats. Till then, this is just speculation like in the past."
He also greeted cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and eminent scientist C.N.R.Rao for being conferred with the Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian honour.
