New Delhi: Slamming BJP for indulging in “politics over death”, AAP today threatened to take legal action against the party after it accused a Delhi minister of patronising the accused in Turkman Gate road rage incident.

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas hit out at the Delhi Police, which comes under the Centre, for alleged “inaction”.

He claimed that police came to the spot very late. He alleged that BJP was resorting to politicising the issue as it was scared after the Assembly polls verdict.  BJP yesterday demanded action against state Environment minister Asim Ahmad Khan.

A man, Shahnawaz, was beaten to death in a road rage incident two days ago in front of his two minor children by a group of men after his motorcycle grazed their car in central Delhi's Turkman Gate on Sunday night.

“The Delhi Police is not under us. It comes under the Centre. We challenge the BJP to provide evidence if any AAP volunteer was involved in the incident,” Vishwas said at a press conference here.

Sanjay Singh, another AAP leader, said the party was contemplating taking legal against the BJP.  “The SMSes sent by the BJP to some journalists were objectionable and we are contemplating to take legal action against those involved,” Singh said.
