New Delhi, Mar 8: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj today told the house that Women's Day this year should be celebrated as Women's Security Day.
As the House greeted Indian women on International Women's Day, Sushma Swaraj said: "This morning when I was entering Parliament, my friend Gurudas Dasgupta said he wanted to greet me on Women's Day. I told him, 364 days you beat us and on one day you greet us."
The BJP leader said, recent incidents in Delhi and other places relating to assaults on women have made her think that International Women's Day in India this year should be observed as Women's Security Day.
