Jaipur: With an eye on panchayat elections due in the state next year, BJP will mobilise nearly 2 lakh party members, including MPs and MLAs, to attend the first anniversary of Vasundhra Raje government here on December 13.
“Though the Rajasthan government is the primary host of the one-year celebrations of the BJP rule, the party has asked nearly 2 lakh workers, right from the booth-level to rural and urban level, to attend the anniversary event at Janpath, a road in front of Vidhan Sabha on December 13,” state party president Ashok Parnami said today.
Parnami said Union Cabinet Ministers will be invited by the government, while the party will extend the invite to senior leaders from everywhere in the country.
The three-hour event is being planned by the state government, he said.
When asked if the party was planning to mobilise workers especially at the booth-level in view of January's panchayat polls, Parnami said, “Important is that the workers should know what and how much work Raje government has done in the last one year so that they could carry a right message in public.”
Parnami said several schemes undertaken by the Raje government like ‘Sarkar aapke dwar' and Bhamashah Yojna related to pension and medical relief for BPL beneficiaries will be projected in the event.
