Shibu Soren-led coalition ministry to be sworn in Jharkhand on Wednesday is likely to have three members from JMM and four of BJP. As per the Constitutional requirement, there can be 12 ministers including the CM in the 81-member state assembly.
Sources said there could be two deputy chief ministers -- one from the BJP and another from the AJSU.
According to sources in the coalition, JMM may bag three ministerial berths, other than Soren, with senior leaders Hemlal Murmu and Hussain Ansari being front runners. The BJP may get four ministerial berths. Besides Das, the other names doing rounds in the BJP are of Baijnath Ram, Arun Mandal and Nilkanth Singh Munda.
The BJP is also set to bag the post of the Speaker with its strong contender, four-time MLA C P Singh, leading the pack. AJSU's Chandra Prakash Choudhary and Kamal Kishore Bhagat and Sudesh Mahto might get ministerial berths, AJSU insiders said. To accommodate a woman candidate, Soren might pick up JD(U)'s Sudha Choudhary, coalition sources said.
Soren, who has support of 44 MLAs, was yesterday invited by Governor K Sankaranarayanan to form the next government -- seventh in nine years for the state. PTI
