Ram Jethmalani is country's one of the sought after criminal lawyer today. He has been part of legendary cases. From appearing in famous KM Nanavati vs Maharashtra government case in 1959 to multi-crore 2G scam in 2011, he has represented all kind of clients.
He has argued for people whose social background and political ideology are vastly different from his own. The 93-year-old lawyer, who obtained a law degree at an early age of 17, claims that 90 per cent of the cases he has fought are free of cost.
This time too, Jethmalani has said that he will not charge a single penny from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for defending him in a defamation case slapped on him by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Jethmalani, also a Rajya Sabha MP from RJD’s quota, said this after a controversy erupted over Kejriwal seeking public fund to pay Rs 3.86 crore fee to the lawyer.

1. Jethmalani had appeared for Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh, convicted for the assassination of the late prime minister Indira Gandhi.
2. Jethmalani also argued for Rajiv Gandhi assassination case convict V Sriharan alias Murugan. He had recently stoked a controversy with his remark that the May 21, 1991 suicide bomb attack which killed the former prime minister was not a crime against India.
