Sushma Swaraj
Sushma Swaraj is heading the Ministry of External Affairs (Foreign Ministry) in the Modi Government, She registered her remarkable win from Vidisha Constituency, Madhya Pradesh. With the lotus party led NDA winning over 300+ seats, one of the most loyal supporter of saffron flag Sushma was given one of the most important ministries in Modi Cabinet.
Sushma has emerged as a strong character handling the external affairs of India. She has well supported PM Modi in drafting foreign policies. she is in favour of ''Proactive-Strong-Sensitive'' foreign policies.
She had been MLA in Haryana from 1977-1982 and then from 1987–90. In July 1977, she was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in the Janata Party Government headed by Mr. Devi Lal. She was Education Minister, Haryana in the BJP-Lok Dal Government of Mr.Devi Lal during 1987-90.
She was a cabinet minister when Vajpayee government was in power.
She has been holding the Member of Parliament term for 6th time.
She was the Leader Of Opposition in 15th Lok Sabha.
Sushma took on Sonia Gandhi from Bellary Lok Sabha constituency in 2004 when there was a wave against BJP in that region. Sushma offered a spirited fight and Sonia could win through a very small margin of around 50,000 votes.
