Hyderabad, Mar 8: Congress MLAs from Telangana will hold protests every day in support of the separate statehood demand, a party MLA from the region said today.
"We have decided to hold protests every day in different ways," Congress MLA M Rajaiah told reporters here.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi should give appointment to the ministers from Telangana as early as possible, he said.
The ministers have sought an appointment with Gandhi to express their feelings on the separate Telangana demand to her.
Earlier, the Congress MLAs, MLCs and other leaders from Telangana region had camped in Delhi for few days last month and met top Congress leaders. They could not, however, meet the party president.
As part of their protests on the Telangana issue, the Congress MLAs and MPs from the region have been staying away from the Assembly session for several days now.
They have also announced support to the 'million march to Hyderabad' being organised by the Telangana political Joint Action Committee (JAC) on March 10. PTI
