Prime Minister Narendra Modi is receiving congratulatory messages from prominent world leaders for leading BJP to resounding victories in the recently concluded state Assembly elections.
On Wednesday, French President Francois Hollande and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, congratulated PM Modi for his party’s victory in state elections.
“The Emir of Qatar HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani called PM @narendramodi today to convey his felicitations at the election results,” the Prime Minister's official handle tweeted.
“French President, HE Mr. @fhollande called PM @narendramodi today to convey his felicitations at the election results,” it said in another tweet.
PM Modi also received felicitations from other leaders like Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Canadian Prime Justin Trudeau.
Experts of international relations believe that the world leaders are looking at BJP’s success in Assembly polls as a mid-term endorsement for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
They have also pointed that perhaps for the first time, state polls in India have garnered so much international attention.
