It was a day of high drama in Bihar’s state capital Patna where Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav felicitated younger brother Tejashwi Yadav with a 'mukut' (crown) at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) foundation day event on Thursday.
During the function, while taking a jibe at Janata Dal-United (JD-U) Tejashwi Yadav said, reported ANI, “Some people are trying to create a narrative here that BJP will not be defeated till JDU comes back in Mahagatbandhan. They (BJP-JDU) recently lost a number of by-polls in Bihar, so what happened then?”
Tejashwi Yadav also doubted that BJP may dump Nitish Kumar at the last moment before the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

It may be recalled that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar snapped ties with RJD in July last year and joined hands with his former partner Bharatiya Janata Party.
Following the corruption charges against Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar asked him to resign from the state cabinet which was refused by RJD. To protect his clean image and zero tolerance towards corruption, Nitish Kumar resigned on July 26, 2017, ending the so-called 'Grand Alliance'.
