Three days after results of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections saw Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party face a humiliating defeat at the hands of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the tweets from official state government handles are not to be found anywhere.

While there are no tweets on the official handle of the Government of Uttar Pradesh (@UPGovt), purging of tweets on CM Office, GoUP (@CMOfficeUP) is still underway.

At the time of publishing, the last visible tweet on @CMOfficeUP twitter handle was from April 25, 2015.
