UP BJP leader Swami Prasad Maurya may switch over to Congress as he is reportedly unhappy over distribution of party tickets for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
Swami Prasad Maurya, who joined the BJP just six months back, is pushing hard for party tickets for himself, his son and daughter but the BJP high command is not willing to concede all his demands.
A miffed Maurya is believed to have finished final round of talks with Congress for his entry into the party.
Swami Prasad Maurya, however, has denied reports of his unhappiness with party over ticket distribution although he expressed the hope that the party would seriously consider the names he has proposed for tickets.
“It depends on the media only to show what they want, to show someone happy or angry. There is no tiff, unhappiness or any dissatisfaction from my side. I believe I will get to see positive results,” Swami Prasad Maurya said.
“I have given selected names, so that I expect a serious consideration on the same is natural. It is natural that my list is going to be lengthy, keeping in mind the support base I have in Uttar Pradesh,” he added.
