New Delhi: Upbeat after Raghuram Rajan's recent announcement not seeking a second term as RBI Governor, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has now trained his guns at PM Narendra Modi's Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian.
In a series of tweets today, the firebrand leader sought the removal of Arvind Subramanian alleging that the PM's CEA had asked US Congress to act against India to defend the interests of US pharmaceuticals.
"Modi’s Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian had opposed India on IPR till recently,” Swamy tweeted this morning.
And then he followed up with this tweet:
“Who said to US Cong on 13/3/13 the US should act against India to defend US Pharmaceuticals interests? Arvind Subramanian MoF!! Sack him !!”
Swamy has been quite vocal in his opposition to Raguram Rajan's RBI policies accusing him of “sabotaging the country’s economy by trying to put all small, medium industries out of business”.
He has also accused the RBI Governor of derailing the Indian economy by keeping the lending rates high.
He has also alleged that Rajan was a Congress agent.
