External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has come forward to help a Pakistani girl in getting admission in a school in the national capital.
Madhu, a resident of Punjab province of Pakistan, moved to Delhi two years ago and had been struggling to get admitted in a school since then. The schools in the capital city denied her admission as she lacked the required documents.
However, much to her respite, the External Affairs Minister has herself stepped up to sort things out for her.
On learning about her through a leading daily, Sushma Swaraj invited Madhu to her resident yesterday.
Upon meeting the girl from Pakistan, Swaraj ensured she would get an admission in a school by Monday.
“I was struggling to get admission in school as I didn’t have an Aadhaar Card. EAM assured me that my admission will be done on Monday,” Madhu said.
“She spoke to Arvind Kejriwal ji regarding the same. Hope I will get admission in school at the earliest,” she added.
