New Delhi: External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, known for her knack for the social media, today took to Twitter to mark her wedding anniversary. The minister, who is usually seen busy helping stranded Indians abroad or helping them deal with some trouble or the other, today tweeted her picture with her husband, senior Supreme Court lawyer Swaraj Kaushal.

 

The picture has been liked almost 4,500 times so far and she also thanked people for their greetings and blessings.

“Thanks for your greetings and good wishes on our wedding anniversary. @sushmaswaraj @GovernorSwaraj”, Sushma tweeted with the picture with her husband.

During the time of emergency Sushma was married to Kaushal. The emergency movement brought together the couple. Kaushal who is now a peer advocate of Supreme Court of India and he also served as a Governor of Mizoram from 1990 to 1993.

Sushma, who also achieved the milestone of becoming the youngest Cabinet minister at the age of 25 years in 1979, was the first female spokesperson at the national political party in India.

In the past few months, Sushma has helped people who were in trouble by maximising her Twitter presence. She has helped people with lost passports.

Reccently she also assured actor Akshay Kumar that everything was being sone to evacuate the Indians from South Sudan.
