New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been admitted to All India Institute Medical Sciences (AIIMS) yesterday after she complained of congestion in the chest.
Doctors treating her said that her condition was stable and that there was nothing to worry.
"Sushma Swaraj has undergone some test for her chest pain. Reports will come by tomorrow. She is stable now," Amit Gupta, spokesperson of AIIMS, said.
Gupta said that Swaraj (64) is currently under observation by a team of multi-specialists.
She was admitted to the old private ward of Pulmonary Medicine Department of the hospital at around 5 pm. Around 10 PM, she was shifted to the Cardio-Neuro Centre of the hospital.
Swaraj has a history of acute diabetes and has been put on antibiotics.
Swaraj is scheduled to meet Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aijaz Ahmed today on the sideline of Heart of Asia conference.
