BJP president Amit Shah today accused Congress chief Rahul Gandhi of spreading rumour over SC/ST Act in order to incite hatred in the society.
In a tweet, Amit Shah posted an undated video in which Rahul Gandhi talks about alleged anti-Dalit policies of the Modi government and at one point, he says "the SC/ST Act has been scrapped."
Slamming the Congress chief for saying that the Act has been scrapped, Amit Shah said, “Lies and only Lies! See how @RahulGandhi fictitiously revokes the SC/ST Act to incite hatred in society.”
In the video posted by Amit Shah, the Congress chief also accuses Prime Minister Narendra Modi of maintaining silence "despite increasing incidents of atrocities on Dalits and Adivasis."
Amit Shah’s tweet comes a day after PM Modi accused the opposition parties of politicising the legacy of Dalit icon Dr BR Ambedkar. The prime minister went on to say that no government had honoured Ambedkar like his government did.
On Wednesday, Amit Shah himself accused held opposition responsible for the death of 9 people during Bharat Bandh on April 2.
