Miffed over Salman Khan’s support for Pakistani actors working in India, an angry Shiv Sena today asked the bollywood superstar to migrate to Pakistan if he has so much of love for their actors.
The party also said that Salman Khan needs to be taught a lesson for his remarks.
“Salman Khan needs to be taught a lesson. If he has so much love for Pakistani artists, he should migrate there,” Shiv Sena leader Manisha Kayande said.
On Friday, Salman Khan had said that a difference should be made between an artist and a terrorist. He pointed out that the Pakistani artists working in India were given visas and work permits by the Indian government only.
“They are artists, not terrorists. It’s the government who gives them work permits and visas. Art and terrorism should not be mixed,” Salman Khan had said at an event in New Delhi.
Mumbai-based Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) passed a resolution on Friday to ban Pakistani actors from the industry in the aftermath of Uri terror attacks that lead to the death of 20 Indian soldiers. India has held Pakistan-backed terrorists responsible for this attack.
Last week, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena of Raj Thackeray had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Pakistani artists and actors including Fawad Khan and Ali Zafar to leave India by September 25 or be ready to be “pushed out”.
