RJD leader claims he was humiliated, thrashed by Tej Pratap at Lalu’s Iftar party

RJD leader Sanoj Yadav was allegedly thrashed and beaten by Bihar Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav at Lalu Prasad Yadav's Iftar party.

RJD leader Sanoj Yadav claimed he was humiliated, thrashed by Tej Pratap

A leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has alleged that he was abused and thrashed by Lalu Prasd Yadav's son and Bihar Health Minister Tej Pratap at party chief's Iftar party.   The leader, Sanoj Yadav, was invited to an Iftar party where Tej Pratap allegedly abused him and caught him by the collar. Sanoj claimed that the minister threw him outisde the home and even threatened him to shoot. 

"He abused me, caught my collar, beat me, humiliated me and threw me outsside the home," a teary-eyed Sanoj Yadav claimed.

Sanoj said that he even pleaded with Lalu to save him but to no avail. 

"I pleaded with Lalu ji to save me. I asked if I was to see such day but Lalu ji stayed inside his room," a sobbing Yadav told India TV.   

He has resigned from all posts of the RJD.

According to Sanoj, he had gone to attend the iftar party at Lalu's residence on Friday. He was talking to other leaders when Tej Pratp lost his cool and started abusing and beating him, calling him an RSS agent. According to Sanoj, Tej Pratap was angry because Sanoj participated in a TV debate but coulkd not properly put forward the party's views. 

A weeping Sanoj said Lalu was present at the venue but did nothing to stop his son.

"I pleaded Lalu ji asking if this was the punishment by the party for 22 years of dedication, sacrifice and honesty," he said.
