Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit believes that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi should be more accessible to party workers, the way Sonia Gandhi was 19 years ago.
Talking to a news channel, Sheila Dikshit said that Rahul has the leadership qualities and if he becomes accessible then the Congress headquarters will "start buzzing" again and not wear the desolate look it has after the party's performance in the recent Assembly elections.
"I would like Rahul Gandhi to be more accessible," Sheila Dikshit said.
She added that when Sonia Gandhi took charge of the party's reins 19 years ago , she used to spend about two or three hours in the party headquarters every morning.
"Rahul must do the same," she added.
Referring to NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s advice to Rahul Gandhi for taking shorter breaks, Sheila Dikshit said that the advice was good but added that everyone has their own style.
She also added that others too had to get used to Rahul Gandhi’s style.
