Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani and wished him on his 88th birthday.
PM Modi was accompanied by the BJP President Amit Shah on this occasion.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi wished LK Advani on twitter and hailed him as one of India’s tallest leaders as well as an ‘inspiration’.
"Wishing our inspiration, one of India's tallest leaders who has served India tirelessly & diligently, Shri LK Advani ji on his birthday," he said in a tweet.
"I pray to God that Advani ji is blessed with a long and healthy life," he said.
Union Minister Smriti Irani also took to twitter to wish Advani on his birthday.
“On his birthday, I extend my heartiest wishes to our guiding light Shri L K Advani ji. Prayers for his good health & long life,” she tweeted.
Advani was born in Karachi on November 8, 1927.
He served as Minister of Home Affairs from 1998 to 2004 in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s cabinet.
