Madhya Pradesh has received investment commitments worth Rs 5.63 lakh crore across sectors during the two-day Global Investors Summit here, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said today.
Promising to make the state the world's best business destination, the Chief Minister said his government will provide all kinds support to investors.
During the two-day summit, there has been a huge response and the state has received over 2,600 investment proposals across sectors, Chouhan said adding that his officials discussed all the issues raised by potential investors.
He further said that a portal would soon be launched to provide all the relevant information besides helping in according approvals on time.
The Chief Minister said that about 30 proposals have come online and his government will devise a mechanism to "allot land online" to investors for setting up businesses.
"For about 50 crore worth of investment, we have decided to appoint a relation manager," he said.
On ease in norms for doing businesses, Chouhan said his government will work on amending rules with regards to change in the land use and charge minimal fee for that.
Besides, the state will come up with a new policy to promote ready-made garments industry in the state, he added.
The CM also assured that the government will simplify the procedures to get all clearances from pollution control board on time.
On concerns raised by the industry in terms of GST roll-out and its impact on state tax incentives, he said, "A committee has been formed to ensure that all facilities continue" even after the GST implementation.
The Chief Minister also urged External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to help the state come up with international airports in Bhopal and Indore.
"We need international airports. I would urge Sushmaji to help in this," he said at the valedictory session of the Global Investors Summit.
