Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah today accused Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of being hand-in-glove with separatists leader. Speaking to reporters outside Parliament here, Abdullah claimed that ‘terrorists and stone pelters in the state enjoy the CM’s support on every front’.
“Mehbooba Mufti is working hand-in-glove with Hurriyat. She is helping terrorists and stone pelters,” he said.
“Wo to aap jaante hain unka saath (Mehbooba Mufti) to unke (Hurriyat) sath har waqt raha hai. (You are aware that she (Mehbooba Mufti) has links with them (Hurriyat),” the former CM added.
“Geelani sahab ko to wo apna pita maanti hai, zaroor naraz hongi. (She considers Geelani sahab as her father, she must be upset),” he opined.
Abdullah was reacting to reports that the Mehbooba government was unhappy over NIA’s crackdown against separatists and had even tried blocking their transportation from Srinagar airport to Delhi earlier this week.
Yesterday, Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani's son-in-law and six other separatist leaders were sent to 10 days of NIA custody by a Delhi court in connection with a case of alleged terror funding in the Kashmir to fuel unrest.
