Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi came in support of Congress general secretary and suggested that the snetiment conveyed by Priyanka Gandhi in equating PM Modi with Duroyodhan was valid. Although she said that Priyanka Gandhi should have used other words, the suggestions included 'wicked' and 'ruthless
"Unhone Duryodhan bol ke galat kiya hai,doosra bhasha bolna chahiye unko, vo sab to jallad hain, jallad. Jo judge ko aur patrakar ko marwa deta hai, uthwa leta hai. Aise aadmi ka mann aur vichaar kaisa hoga, khoonkar hoga," she was quoted by ANI as saying.
(Translation: She made a mistake by calling him Duryodhan, she should have used other words, all of them are unimaginably evil, (they are) people who kidnap and kill judge and journalists. Imagine the mindset and attitude of such a man. It can certainly be termed ruthless)
Priyanka Gandhi on Tuesday equated PM Narendra Modi to Duryodhan, the main villain from Mahabharat and reminded him that extreme arrogance was the reason behind Duryodhan's downfall.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sharpened his attack on Congress and especially Rahul Gandhi in recent days. On the issue of corruption, PM Modi has even called late Rajiv Gandhi 'Bhrashtachari no. 1'.
Priyanka Gandhi objected to this and criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply in her rally in Ambala.
She accused PM Modi and BJP of choosing to insult her family instead of speaking about real issues the country is facing.
BJP, in turn, said that the country will come to know about the real Duryodhan on May 23, the day of the results.
