Infuriated over the Centre’s decision to withdraw Lalu Prasad Yadav’s NSG cover and downgrade his security cover to Z-category, RJD supremo’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav on Monday threatened to skin Prime Minister Narendra Modi alive.
“Laluji ko maarne ki saazish ho rahi hai. Hum chup nahi baithenge, Narendra Modi ji ka khaal udhedva lenge (a conspiracy is being hatched to kill Laluji. We will not stay silent. We will skin Narendra Modiji),” Tej Pratap told reporters at the state assembly.
Soon after Tej Pratap’s provocative remarks against the PM, BJP’s West Delhi MP Parvesh Sharma lodged an FIR against him at Parliament Street police station.
Tej Pratap said that the downgrade of security cover is “dirty politics of the Centre and a conspiracy to kill Lalu”.

“Laluji is on the hit list, he can be killed ... My father is surrounded with hundreds of people in his public interactions, at times in Naxal-infested areas. If anything happens to him after downgrading his security, then Centre and state government would be responsible for it,” he said.
Tej Pratap’s remarks come a day after the Union Home ministry withdrew Lalu’s NSG cover and also downgraded his security from ‘Z-plus’ category to ‘Z’ category.
Apart from Lalu, the Centre also withdrew the Z+ security cover given to former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. Manjhi till now was a Z+ category protectee and was enjoying CRPF cover, but after the home ministry's decision, the CRPF cover provided to him has been withdrawn leaving him dependent completely on the Bihar Police for his security.
