In a rare show of solidarity, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today came out in full support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over India’s surgical strikes at terror launch pads inside Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The attacks came following a ghastly terror attack at an Army camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir.
"We may disagree with PM on various issues but I salute him for the will power he showed on this issue," Kejriwal said in a video message released today, lauding Prime Minister Modi for ordering surgical strikes at terror launch pads.
However, Kejriwal also sought to alert PM Modi on Pakistan resorting to a media blitzkrieg as part of its attempts to cast doubts over 'surgical strikes' in the international community and urged the Prime Minister to expose Islamabad's false propaganda.
Kejriwal said that even as India destroyed terror camps, Pakistan is propagating false propaganda and contradicting India's claims.
He said Islamabad had ferried various media outlets to Pakistan occupied Kashmir and is claiming that nothing happened in this part of the territory.
"Even United nations has said that it has not directly observed any firing across the LoC related to the latest incidents," he added.
Last week, India conducted surgical strikes to destroy seven terror launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. However, Pakistan has gone overboard to dismiss India's narrative.
Kejriwal and the Narendra Modi-led central government have often been at odds with the Delhi CM blaming the latter for obstructing its functioning through the Lieutenant Governor.
