Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita today slammed sacked AAP minister Kapil Mishra for making baseless allegations against her husband and family.

In a tweet, she called Mishra a ‘stupid man’ and said that her brother-in-law was no more.

“My brother-in-law is no more and this stupid man is speaking all written script without any mind,” she tweeted.

The reaction by Sunita, a former IRS officer, came immediately after Mishra told reporters here that Health Minister Satyendar Jain had settled a Rs 50 crore land deal for Kejriwal's brother-in-law in Chhattarpur area.

Hitting back at AAP leader Sanjay Singh who accused him of being hand-in-glove with the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mishra said, "Satyendar Jain himself told me that he managed a Rs 50 crore land deal in Chhattarpur (south Delhi) for Kejriwal's brother-in-law. The deal was finalised for the Bansal family."

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia too attacked Mishra saying, “Baseless allegations are being levelled by him. He is levelling allegations against a person who is dead. He passed away this morning. Please table the facts…. Show some humanity.”

Earlier in the day, Singh had asked Mishra to disclose details of the land deals which he had talked about on Sunday.

Reacting to Mishra’s claims, Jain today said that he was not present at the CM’s residence when, according to the sacked minister, he had given the CM Rs 2 crore in cash.

“There is a limit to lying. I wasn't present at CM's residence on 5 May, Friday and I can prove it in many ways. He has lost mental balance & making baseless allegations. Show us papers or proof if it’s true?” he said.

Meanwhile, sources in the AAP have said that the CCTV footage of the CM’s residence may be released to counter Mishra’s claims. Health Minister Jain could also file a case of defamation against him, they added.
