Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that his government is looking forward to welcome US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, who is also a senior adviser to her father, in India later this month.

In a tweet, PM Modi said that the economic cooperation between India and the US helps the "talented and innovative entrepreneurs" in both countries.

“We look forward to welcoming you Ivanka Trump. Closer economic cooperation between India and USA helps our people, particularly our talented and innovative entrepreneurs,” the PM’s tweet reads.

The PM’s response comes a day after White House adviser Ivanka's tweet about the imminent Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES). Ivanka had on Tuesday expressed her excitement about attending the US-backed three-day conference in Hyderabad, slated to start from November 28.

"This week, Global Entrepreneurship Week, spotlights the incredible contributions of innovators across the globe. I am excited to join many of these remarkable entrepreneurs with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India for GES 2017 in just two weeks," she had tweeted.

Ivanka will be leading the American delegation at the GES, which is being co-hosted by India and the US.

According to reports, organisers have received applications more than capacity. They have credited this to the deepening ties between India and the US.

Organisers say that they can accommodate 400 entrepreneurs from India and 800 from the United States and the rest of the world.

PM Modi will be inaugurating the conference. The theme of this year's conference is "Women First, Prosperity for All".

GES is the preeminent annual entrepreneurship gathering that convenes emerging entrepreneurs, investors and supporters from around the world.
