New Delhi: A woman has lodged a police complaint against Aam Aadmi Party MLA and vice chairman Delhi Jal Board Dinesh Mohaniya for misbehaving with her.
Mohaniya, a lawmaker from Delhi's Sangam Vihar constituency, is accused of abusing and pushing the women who who had visited his office to complain about their water woes.
"When we went to Dinesh Mohaniya's office, he refused to identify me. I must tell that I go to him daily because of water issues," the complainant tol news agency ANI.
She also said, "He pushed me & other women, abused us. We want a case against Dinesh Mohaniya, he should be arrested."
The AAP leader, however, has denied the allegations.
“Conspiracy againt me by the nexus of Water mafia and local BJP unit, neither that women nor me in video,” Dinesh Mohaniya told ANI.
"This is an attempt to defame me without even checking," Mohaniya added.
The latest allegations comes at a time when AAP is already facing flak from opposition for allegedly violating rules against lawmakers holding offices of profit by appointing 21 of its legislators as parliamentary secretaries.
Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) on Monday registered an FIR in the alleged Rs 400-crore water tanker scam. The Delhi BJP claimed the irregularities continued even during the Kejriwal government.
