A chaotic scene was today witnessed outside the official residence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here. The crowd gathered here to meet the CM had gone berserk to enter the compound of the house.
A woman suffered minor injuries in the incident. She was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical aid.
The security officials at 5, Kalidasa Marg bungalow, however, managed to bring the situation under control.
Ever since assuming charge as Uttar Pradesh CM, Adityanath has been meeting people of the state daily at his residence here in order to address their grievances. But this morning, a huge number of people turned up for the public meeting. As a result, people waiting for their number in queue broke out leading to a stampede like situation.
The concept of meeting common men is not a new thing for Adityanath. As the Mahant of Gorakhpur Mutt and Lok Sabha MP from here, Adityanath used to hold janata darbars at the temple which was open to all residents of his constituency.
