Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday joined BJP's 15-day foot march 'Jan Raksha Yatra' in Kerala. Adityanath, joined by Kerala BJP unit president Kummanam Rajashekharan, said there is no scope for political violence in a democracy.
The march was on Tuesday launched by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's home town in Kannur district. The march is a protest against CPI-M's alleged violence against workers the BJP, Shah said.
The Jan Raksha Yatra, held under the theme of 'All have to live! Against Jihadi-Red Terror', from Payyannur will travel through the state before ending in Thiruvananthapuram on October 17.
As many as 120 BJP workers have been killed in the state since 2001 with 14 of them in the chief minister's home town since he took over the reigns last year, the BJP has alleged.
Besides Yogi, several Union ministers will join the pad yatra during its course.
