Lucknow: BJP MLA and Muzaffarnagar riot accused Sangeet Som today targeted Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan and claimed that his Mohammad Ali Jauhar university is a bastion of terrorist activities.
Addressing a rally in Shamli, Som said that Jauhar University has been developed to organise an army of terrorists.
“The university has been developed to organise an army of terrorists. Hundreds of acres of land have been given to the university on lease at a paltry sum of Re 1. This has resulted in displacement of hundreds of families,” he said..

“If BJP comes to power in UP, Khan will be sent to prison on the first day,” the controversial leader said, adding that a probe will also be launched into the activities of the university.
Som also slammed SP led UP government for the failure of law and order situation in the state. He said over 450 riots have taken place in four and half years of SP rule.
The BJP leader also said that migration from Kairana and Kandhla were not a political, but a social issue. “If anyone has guts, then try driving out the people of Sardhana,” he said..
