On Friday, Vijayawada based sculptor BSV Prasad delivered a huge statute of the departed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to her close confidant Sasikala Natarajan.
According to a media report, the ‘Amma Statute’ will be placed at Poes garden, the residence of the former Chief Minister, to keep the memory of Jayalalithaa alive.
The sculptor BSV Prasad said that he received a request from the health and the IT minister respectively to build a statue in the memory of Amma, which they plan to place at a prominent place in the city.
He said that he was happy to keep the memory of "People's CM" alive.
According to some media reports, many sculptors from Andhra Pradesh including renowned west Godavari based sculptors Dr P. Arun Prasad Vudayar and Karunakar Vudayar have also received several orders from various places like Tiruchy, Coimbatore, Madurai and Chennai in Tamil Nadu and now they are carving busts of Amma in their studio.
