New Delhi: Minutes after BJP top brass released Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degrees, the Aam Aadmi party also held a presser and alleged the degrees shown by them are fake.

AAP leader Ashutosh said that the degrees are fake and there is a mismatch in the names.

He also accussed the saffron party of betraying the trust of the nation.

Ashutosh also claimed that the name of PM is different in both the degrees of Bachelors and Masters. He also alleged that the graduating year on PM's BA marksheet is different from the year on his degree certificate.

The BJP today released Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BA and MA certificates at a press conference in New Delhi after Delhi Cm Arvind Kejriwal relentlessly accused the Primr Minister of lying about his educationaol qualificatiion.

"It is very unfortunate that we have to hold this press meet to clarify Prime Minister’s educational qualification status," BJP President Amit Shah.

"Public discourse has "stooped so low" in the wake of baseless allegations by AAP," said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who was also present at the press conference.

Jaitley hit out at AAP, saying several of its leaders are being prosecuted and investigated over fake degrees.

Earlier, Kejriwal had demanded that the Central Information Commission (CIC) makes public information pertaining to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational qualifications.

In a letter to Information Commissioner M Sridhar Acharyulu, Kejriwal said he does not object to government records about him being made public and wondered why the

Commission wants to "hide" information on Modi's educational degree.

"There are allegations that Narendra Modi does not have any degree. The people of the country want to know the truth. Despite that you have refused to make records regarding his degree public. Why did you do this? This is wrong," Kejriwal said in the letter.
