50 planes to ferry VVIPs to Gadkari daughter’s wedding?

Road Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari’s office on Saturday rubbished the media reports claiming that 50 charter flights will ferry VVIPs to Nagpur for his daughter’s wedding on Sunday, saying them mischievous.

“News that 50 chartered flights will ferry VIP's for Nitin Gadkari's daughter's wedding are mischievous & incorrect,” Nitin Gadkari's office said in a statement.

Earlier, there were reports that over 10,000 guests, most of them VVIPs like Union home minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president Amit Shah, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Union ministers and chief ministers, will be flown to the city in 50 charter flights on Sunday evening to attend Nitin Gadkari’s daughter wedding.

A similar gathering of VVIPs was witnessed in Nagpur when Gadkari’s eldest son, Nikhil, married Rutuja in December 2010, when Gadkari was the BJP president.

According to the reports, Gadkari’s daughter Ketki is tying the nuptial knot with Aditya, the son of Sandhya and Ravindra Kaskhedikar of Nagpur.

According to few reports, Gadkari will host two receptions – one in Nagpur and the other in Delhi on December 6 and 8 respectively.

The bridegroom works with social networking group Facebook in the US.

The wedding will be held at Rani Kothi on Wardha Road in Nagpur.
