Benazir Bhutto was herself a role model for many women. Malala Yousafzai, the girl who defied the Talibans in Pakistan and survived assassination attempt by a Taliban gunman in 2012 considers Benazir Bhutto her role model. She claims to get inspiration from Bhutto's life.

Her presence inspired Pakistani women to come out of their shells and participate in politics.
